Dr. Kalyan Banerjee was born into a family of illustrious doctors, which has had a profound effect on his personal and professional life. A sense of magnanimity and generosity was instilled in him from his childhood.

Having received his homoeopathic education under the world renowned Prof. Dr. Parimal Banerji at Mihijam, Dr. Kalyan Banerjee set up his private practice in New Delhi in 1977. Because of his reputation, Dr. Kalyan Banerjee has extensive experience in the management of advanced cases of cancers, organ failures, grand mal seizures, neonatal tetanus, multiple sclerosis or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, motor neuron disease, Alzheimer’s disease, hypothyroid conditions, primary infertility and secondary infertility, uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts, systemic lupous erythematosis and other complicated cases beyond the reach of other systems of medicine. He has successfully utilized this knowledge in his practice and trained doctors and interns at his Clinic.

Dr. Kalyan Banerjee is repeatedly invited to share his knowledge at various medical conferences all over the world. He has presented numerous papers in national and international conferences on a myriad range of topics, including leukaemia, acute and chronic renal (kidney) failure, complicated fevers, disorders of the blood like disseminated intravascular coagulopathy, thalassemia, haemophilia; hepatitis B and hepatitis C, nephrotic syndrome, autism, Asperger Syndrome, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and many others.

From the first day of his practice in New Delhi, forty-one years ago, Dr. Banerjee has provided free consultations, without any prejudice or application to everyone who comes for treatment during the free clinic hours and on numerous other occasions. The timings of the free clinic have even stretched to seven or more hours as he tends to the hundreds of patients that queue outside his clinic from various parts of India and beyond. He is a humanitarian, dedicated to his patients to whom he gives almost every waking hour of his life.

Dr. Kalyan Banerjee has been sought out by distinguished members of society, from all fields, from far flung corners of the planet, for his exemplary practice and calm and unassuming demeanour. Dr. Banerjee has travelled the world, treating patients and continues to do so, his busy schedule permitting.

Dr. Kalyan Banerjee has been awarded the Padma Shree, one of India’s highest civilian honours, in 2009 for distinguished service in the field of medicine. He is the first homeopath to have been given this rare honour by the President of India, in the field of medicine.

Dr. Kalyan Banerjee has served as an Honorary Member of the Governing Body of The Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India and as an Honorary Member of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia Committee and The Standing Finance Committee of the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy. In addition to these positions, he holds numerous posts in many organizations related to scientific research, homoeopathy, woman and child development and charitable activities.
